Leading car-sharing platform SOCAR continues its rapid expansion across the peninsular with another new city added to its portfolio–Ipoh.
The progressive city with a rich cultural heritage (and fabulous food) is the fifth city to be part of SOCAR’s expanding footprint.
Ipoh joins over 1,000 SOCAR availability zone spread across Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, and Johor.
Ipoh residents and visitors will be able to book SOCAR rides from five SOCAR zones, with each zone assigned 1-2 cars.

To celebrate the launch, SOCAR is giving away 3 free hours on your first two bookings from any of its new Ipoh SOCAR zones.
All you need to do is apply the promo code “SOCARMALI” to enjoy the reward. This promo is valid until 31 January 2020.
SOCAR currently offers over 2,000 cars spanning 27 different models in over 1,000 locations across the Klang Valley, Penang, Johor, and now Ipoh.
The car-sharing platform recently introduced a One-Way Intercity service serving Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Johor.
Since its debut in Malaysia in 2018, the first country of expansion outside of its home country South Korea, SOCAR has seen its user base grow to over 500,000.
