Samsung, official title sponsor of the LMFAO LIVE IN MALAYSIA 2012 concert, gave away two free tickets per fan at a special ticket redemption event in five major cities around Malaysia recently. Hundreds of fans thronged to pick up their free tickets, merely needing to flash their Samsung GALAXY Y phones to redeem.

Malaysia’s No.1 dance crew (winner of 8TV’s Showdown Series 2011) Elecoldxhot and a surprise flash mob, entertained close to 500 fans who turned up at Sunway Pyramid. A shuffling competition ensued to give fans a chance to win five LMFAO tickets each.
Samsung gave away 1,000 tickets in total, redeemed nationwide.
The LMFAO concert will be held at the Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon on April 9, 2012 and promises to be an explosive affair. Fans Showed Up with Samsung GALAXY Y for Ticket Redemption
Kuala Lumpur, 12 March 2012 – Hundreds of fans lined up for free LMFAO tickets on Saturday in five major cities around Malaysia. Samsung, the official title sponsor for the event, gave each fan two free tickets when they flashed their Samsung GALAXY Y. There were over a 1000 tickets to be redeemed nationwide.
Close to 500 fans turned up at Sunway Pyramid, which was the main location for the ticket redemption in Klang Valley. While waiting, the crowd was entertained by Elecoldxhot, Malaysia’s no.1 breakdance group, and a surprise flash mob, which saw members of the crowd break into cool shuffling moves to a medley of LMFAO’s top hits. Apart from that, a shuffling competition gave fans a chance to be one of three lucky contestants to win five LMFAO tickets each by showing off their prowess on the dance floor.
Mr. Lee Jui Siang, Head of the Mobile Phones Division for Samsung Malaysia Electronics, said, “It was very encouraging to see so many young people turn up to redeem their tickets with their Samsung GALAXY Y. We’re excited to bring an event like LMFAO Live in Malaysia 2012 and we believe this will help us to maintain our relationship and foster the Samsung brand amongst this generation of users.”
The Party Rockin’ doesn’t just stop here, as Samsung will be taking the party online, rolling out an online video contest this Tuesday, 14 March. The Goreng Crew – Online Video Submission contest will see participants upload videos of them acting as LMFAO in a Malaysian context. This round, not only do they win free tickets, the best three videos will win a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be part of LMFAO’s entourage!
