My colleagues from SoyaCincau and I have just landed in San Francisco for Galaxy Unpacked where Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy S10 series. While in the hour-long queue at U.S. immigration, we were pleasantly surprised to see the Galaxy S10+ in the wild.
Najib from SoyaCincau – BM managed to take a sneaky shot of the Galaxy S10+ while waiting patiently in line after our 15-hour flight from Dubai.
We’ve already seen plenty of leaks over the past few weeks and today’s lucky spot confirms most of what we know.
The Galaxy S10+ has a two-camera setup on the front, nestled in a “punch-hole” Infinity-O Display located on the top right-hand side of the 6.4-inch display.
Earlier spec sheet leaks point to a 10MP f/1.9 selfie shooter with an 8MP secondary camera. It will be the world’s first smartphone selfie camera to be able to shoot 4K videos.
The Galaxy S10 and S10e have single front shooters.
The Galaxy S10+ is expected to feature a triple camera system on the rear consisting of a 12MP f/1.5 Dual Aperture main camera, a secondary 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle unit and a 12MP f/2.4 telephoto camera. Both 12MP shooters will come with optical image stabilisation (OIS).
For full specs, read this previous post.
Stay tuned for updates
Galaxy Unpacked will be happening on 20 February 2019 in San Francisco at 11AM PST (3AM MYT, 21 February). Catch the livestream at www.samsung.com. I’ll be reporting live at Unpacked, so stay tuned!
