Launched globally over two weeks ago, the new Samsung Galaxy A Series (2017) sports an all-new design with IP68 dust- and water-resistance, powerful performance as well as fantastic front and rear cameras. Samsung has announced that it is extending the pre-order period for the Galaxy A5 2017 and Galaxy A 2017 to 22 January 2017.
The Galaxy A7 (2017) retails for MYR1,899 while the Galaxy A5 (2017) goes for MYR1,699. Each order will come with a complimentary Samsung Level U Pro wireless headphones worth MYR399.

To recap, the Galaxy A Series (2017) is Samsung’s latest premium mid-range smartphone series. For the first time ever, it features IP68 dust- and water-resistance, adopting features from its flagship devices. The sleek new design incorporates 3D glass and a metal frame.
The Galaxy A7 (2017) boasts a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, with 2.5D glass. Powering the device is a 1.9GHz octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. Impressively, Samsung has brought the much-loved Always-On Display from the Note and Galaxy S7 series to the new Galaxy A Series (2017).
The dual-SIM device supports Cat.6 4G LTE, and can also take additional storage via an independent microSD slot.
It has an inbuilt 3,600mAh battery that support fast charging via a USB Type-C port.
A fingerprint sensor is built into the Home button.
On the other hand, the Galaxy A5 (2017) features a smaller 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. Specs wise, it is almost identical to its bigger sibling, aside from its smaller 3,000mAh battery (also with fast charging).
Both devices boast big 16MP f/1.9 cameras on the front and rear. The rear camera boasts PDAF, while the selfie camera features a fixed focus wide-angle lens.
The dynamic duo also has MST support built-in, so they’re Samsung Pay ready.
