Acer unleashes three new UHD monitors built for ultimate entertainment


Acer’s stepping into 2017 with a bang – introducing a trio of game-changing monitors that will raises the game in entertainment. Headlining the introduction is the gargantuan Acer ET430K – a 43-inch 4K UHD screen, followed by the Acer Predator XR342CK 34-inch curved gaming monitor; and Predator XB321HK 4K gaming monitor.

Big 4K on your desk

If you’re looking for the ultimate screen for home entertainment, or work, then the Acer ET430K is bound to satisfy. Firing up in 4K2K (3,480 x 2,160) UHD resolution, picture quality is stunning and sure to please.

There’s Picture-in-Picture (PIP) feature, built-in 7W speakers, 10-bit colour and Super Sharpness technology built-in.

Acer’s famed BlueLightShield, Flicker-less and ComfyView technology are also standard features, ensuring your eyes stay comfortable at all times.

While not a gaming monitor per se, the ET430K has a competent refresh rate of 60Hz, with a 5ms response time (gray-to-gray) and 100,000,000:1 contrast ratio. Brightness is at 350cd/m2 with a typical IPS viewing angle of 178 degrees.

The 4K monster offers 2 HDMI v2.0 ports, DisplayPort v1.2, DisplayPort out, mini DisplayPort, SPK and audio out.

This impressive monitor retails for only MYR2,299 (incl. 6% GST).

Acer XR342CK – gaming is better curved

The Acer Predator XR342CK is a slight refresh of the previous model, now including AMD FreeSync support and at a lower price point.

The premium 34-inch curved gaming monitor still boasts the same WQHD (3,440 x 1,440) resolution in 21:9 ratio. It has a 1900R curvature allowing daisy chaining for the ultimate multi-monitor setup.

There’s 6-axis colur adjustment and DTS Sound, as well as customizable ambient light at the lower edge of the monitor.

The base can swivel from -30 to +30 degrees, allowing for easy adjustment to your desired viewing angle.

Importantly, the XR342CK boasts 75Hz refresh rates, working with AMD FreeSync for silky smooth, tear-free gaming and video playback.

The monitor has a brightness level of 300cd/m2, with a 5ms (G to G) response time, with support for 1.07 billion colours.

Connectivity wise, it has one HDMI v2.0 port, MHL, DisplayPort, mini DisplayPort, DisplayPort out and a USB Hub 3.0 (4 ports).

The Acer Predator XR342CK retails for MYR3,899 (6% incl. GST).

Acer Predator XB321HK – 32-inch gaming goodness

The Acer Predator XB321HK was designed to suit a wide array of gamers and games. It comes with GameView technology that lets gamers tweak and save three custom profiles, optimized for different games or users.

The ZeroFrame edge-to-edge design is stunning. The fantastic thing is that it comes equipped with NVIDIA G-SYNC and pushes out 4K (3,840 x 2,160) resolution. It supports 100% of the sRGB gamut with a refresh rate of up to 60Hz. The 4K UHD resolution and fast 4ms GTG makes it perfect for lightning fast game action, or dramatic transitions.
