Realme’s latest flagship device—realme X3 SuperZoom—leaps into Malaysian airspace, just a day after its European debut. Armed with beefy internals including the Snapdragon 855+ processor and a mind-blowing 60x SuperZoom camera system, the device officially hits stores on 2 June 2020.
Pricing and availability
The realme X3 SuperZoom comes in two variants—the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage retailing for MYR1,999 and MYR2,299 respectively. They’re available in two colours: Arctic White and Glacier Blue.
For the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, the first official sale will happen on 2 June 2020, exclusively on the realme Lazada Flagship Store. Early buyers will enjoy a MYR200 special discount.
Meanwhile, the range-topping 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant will be available on 6 June 2020 onwards, at all realme authorised dealers across Malaysia. Buyers will receive one unit of realme Buds Air for free.
Realme X3 SuperZoom features
Overall, the realme X3 SuperZoom is a commendable effort from the young upstart, giving the current crop of flagship smartphones a run for their money.
It rocks a 6.6-inch Full HD+ LCD display (2400×1800) with a 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by one of Qualcomm’s best silicon—the Snapdragon 855+. The powerful chip is mated to an Adreno 640 GPU, as well as up to 12GB of LPDDR4X memory and up to 256GB of onboard storage.
The 4G LTE device boasts a quad-camera setup comprising a 64MP f/1.8 main sensor, 8MP telephoto periscope camera with OIS, 8MP f/2.3 ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2MP f/2.4 macro shooter. The telephoto camera supports up to 5x optical zoom, and up to a staggering 60x digital zoom.
On the front are the 32MP f.25 and 8MP f/2.2 dual-cam selfie system.
A massive 4,200mAh battery keeps the device juiced. It charges via USB-C and supports 30W Dart Charge.
