Realme 6 Pro Malaysia: Everything that matters

The new realme 6 Pro makes its debut on Malaysian shores today. The feature-loaded device boasts the 8nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor, a 90Hz display, and quad-cam main shooters. It will be available for sale starting 12 May 2020, exclusively on the realme Lazada Flagship Store.

Pricing and availability

The realme 6 Pro comes in Lightning Blue and Lightning Red and will start official first sale on 12 May 2020 exclusively on the realme Lazada Flagship Store. It retails for MYR1,399.

The device will be available for purchase at all nationwide authorised dealers as part of the first dealer sale, starting 16 May 2020.

As an early-bird promo for those who purchase during the first sale and dealer sale, buyers will receive a set of seven “Daily Mood” phone cases and a one-year extended warranty.

Features and specifications

Headlining its impressive set of features, the 6.6-inch FHD+ 90Hz Ultra Smooth Display (2400×1080) offers a 90Hz refresh rate and 120Hz sampling rate. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and boasts a 90.6 per cent screen-to-body ratio and 480 nits of peak brightness.

On the top left of the display is a 16MP in-display dual-selfie camera system consisting of a wide-angle main shooter and 8MP super-wide angle camera.

On the back, the quad-camera system is led by the 64MP f/1.8 main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 12MP f/2.5 telephoto lens, and a 2MP macro lens. The camera system is capable of 20x hybrid zoom, and up to 4K@30 video recording. Both front and rear camera system feature electronic video stabilisation.

Under the hood is Qualcomm’s latest premium mid-range silicon—the Snapdragon 720G, also used on the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9S. The 8nm chip is coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.

The dual-SIM, 4G LTE device offers a triple card slot to also accommodate microSD storage expansion. Dual-frequency GPS supplies a strong and precise signal connection, while Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 5.1 ensures all-round connectivity.

Keeping things juiced is a massive 4,300mAh battery that supports 30W Flash Charge. The rapid charge technology enables the device to be fully charged in 60 minutes, or 0-62 per cent in just half an hour.
