OPPO’s latest selfie-centric smartphone is set to be unleashed on 19 April 2018. The leading China smartphone maker has wasted no time to reveal a pre-order offer for the OPPO F7, happening from 16-20 April 2018.

Pre-order customers will stand to take home a mystery gift box worth MYR299. Based on the official image supplied by OPPO Malaysia, it looks like the box will contain a pair of on-ear headphones, phone protective hard case and a phone ring hook/stand.

The pre-order activity will happen at OPPO Concept Stores and 800 official OPPO sales points, as well as online at the OPPO e-commerce store.

For all pre-orders, a deposit fee of MYR100 is required.

OPPO F7 Face Unlock

As a recap, the OPPO F7 boasts a massive 25MP f/2.0 front-facing camera, living up to its “Selfie Expert” title. It’s the biggest selfie camera yet, but that’s not what makes it awesome.

It’s also the first OPPO camera that’s enhanced by artificial intelligence (AI). I know what you’re thinking, “Really? AI? Another one of those gimmicks?”

Thanks to the latest 12nm octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 chipset, the OPPO F7 gains MediaTek’s NeuroPilot AI technology which comes with onboard face detection and AI-enhanced smart imaging and video.

What does that mean to you? Simply better selfies and photos, as well as Face Unlock.

Oddly, OPPO has chosen to stick with a single 16MP shooter on the rear.

The OPPO F7 features a massive 6.23-inch FHD+ display (2280×1080) with a 19:9 screen aspect ratio. It has, unsurprisingly, a notch on the display.

The device is expected to come with 4GB or 6GB of RAM, and 64GB or 128GB of storage.

The OPPO F7 gets juiced by a 3,400mAh battery that charges via conventional microUSB.

The latest device is set for a 19 April launch, and judging from its price in India and the price of the outgoing OPPO F5, the OPPO F7 may be priced around MYR1,298.

If it’s good enough for S.H.E’s Hebe Tien and Neelofa, it should be good enough for you, right?

Stay tuned for more updates on the OPPO F7.
