Products launching at the premier consumer electronics show include Thunderblade V4, Envoy Pro EX Thunderbolt 3, ThunderBay 4 Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 3 Dual Display Adapters, and Thunderbolt 3 Dock (Windows and Mac).
Thunderbolt 3 or bust
Thunderblade V4 is the fastest external drive on the market today, capable of speeds of up to 2,800MB/s (read) and 2,450MB/s (write). The highly-portable drive is offered in capacities from 1TB up to 8TB, and is encased in a ruggedized hard shell carrying case. The high-speed, ultra resilient drive retails from USD1,199 to USD4,999.
The bus-powered Envoy Pro EX Thunderbolt 3 mobile drive is all about high speeds, ruggedness and ultra-portability. Small enough to fit in a backpack or coat pocket, it offers speeds of up to 2,600MB/s (read) and 1,600MB/s. The drive is available in capacities of 1TB and 2TB, retailing at USD979.99 and USD1,699.99 respectively.
The award-winning, highly-acclaimed ThunderBay series is now twice as fast as its predecessor, with capacities of up to 48TB. The Thunderbay 4 Thunderbolt 3 starts from USD699 for 4TB.
With Thunderbolt 3 Dual Display Adapters, you can connect two DisplayPort 4K display @60Hz, or one 5K display @60Hz via the DisplayPort model, or two HDMI 4K displays @60Hz via the HDMI model. The Dual DisplayPort Adapter retails at USD79.99, while the Dual HDMI Adapter is priced at USD99.99.
OWC is also bringing its most powerful Thunderbolt 3 dock to the Windows world. The Thunderbolt 3 Dock offers 12 ports including dual Thunderbolt 3, five USB 3.1, Gigabit Ethernet, S/PDIF, combo audio, Mini Display Port, SD Card slot, and supports notebook charging. It retails for USD299.95.
All the products will be displayed at the OWC hospitality at Palazzo Hotel, Las Vegas on 7 January 2018.
