Hola, FC Barcelona fans! OPPO is back with another limited edition special—this time with the flagship OPPO Reno FC Barcelona Edition. Priced at a cool MYR3,999, the exclusively-kitted smartphone will drop in on Malaysian soil on 26 July 2019. The phone is a commemoration of OPPO’s partnership with the Catalan club, extended for another three years.
Pre-orders start from 21 July until 25 July, with exclusive gifts worth up to MYR898 up for grabs. For O-fans and Barca fans alike, pre-orders can be done at any OPPO Concept Store, online at the OPPO Online website, and official e-commerce stores on Lazada or Shopee.
Orders can be collected from 26 July 2019 onwards. Buyers will receive exclusively gifts including O-Free earphones worth MYR599 and Barca Bag worth MYR299.
Based on the top spec OPPO Reno 10x Zoom, the OPPO Reno FC Barcelona Edition comes with the club’s famous garnet and blue gradient colours, specially designed packaging, phone casing, charger, cables, and earphones. On the back of the phone are two Barca logos—a larger blurred logo and a smaller gold team logo at the bottom.
It isn’t just the exterior that gets the Barca touch. You’ll find the full Barca experience flowing on the inside, too. There’s a customised UI—exclusive wallpapers and icons, as well as custom ringtones that sample FC Barcelona’s anthem and stadium sounds.
To recap, the OPPO Reno FC Barcelona Edition features a 6.6-inch Full HD+ Panoramic OLED display that integrates an in-display fingerprint sensor. Inside, it runs the top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor mated to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.
The all-screen, notchless display is possible thanks to the clever “Pivot Rising Camera,” that slides out when you need to take selfies. The elevating module houses a 16MP f/2.0 camera.
What’s impressive is the triple-camera setup that boasts 16-160mm “full focal” length that enables 10x lossless zoom. The primary shooter is a 48MP Sony IMX586 1/2-inch sensor with an f/1.7 aperture lens, coupled with secondary 13MP f/3.0 telephoto shooter and an 8MP shooter with an f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens. The periscope telephoto camera is pretty impressive! With dual OIS, 4K@60 video shooting and nifty software enhancements like Ultra Night Mode 2.0, Dazzle Color Mode and Artistic Portrait Mode, the OPPO Reno’s camera will give other flagships a run for the money.
The phone runs the latest ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9 Pie.

The OPPO Reno FC Barcelona Edition retails for MYR3,999. If you prefer the plain jane OPPO Reno 10x Zoom edition, that goes for MYR3,399 while the regular OPPO Reno retails for just MYR1,999.
