OPPO Malaysia has slashed the price of its former flagship device OPPO R9s down a further MYR200 to MYR1,398. With the fat discount, it looks like a good buy if you’re looking for an affordable camera-centric smartphone.

The OPPO R9s was first launched early last year for MYR1,798 and we’ve seen a couple of special editions including the Black Edition endorsed by NeelofaGreen Edition, Valentine’s Red Edition and even a Min Chen Edition.

As a refresher, the premium mid-ranger features OPPO’s signature metal unibody that houses a 5.5-inch Full HD display protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

It’s powered by the venerable Snapdragon 625 chipset coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage.

It doesn’t disappoint in the camera department, even in 2018, featuring a strong 16MP f/1.7 main shooter with dual-focus technology and electronic image stabilisation (EIS).

On the front, it gets a big 16MP f/2.0 aperture wide-angle lens, enhanced with OPPO’s famed Beautify software.

You’ll also get a snappy fingerprint sensor, and a decently large 3,010mAh battery that supports VOOC Flash Charge.

Interested to pick up the OPPO R9s? Head over to Lazada or the OPPO Online Store.
