OPPO Find X2 5G series Malaysia: Pricing and pre-order details

OPPO Find X2 Malaysia

After making a global debut last week, the OPPO Find X2 series is now in Malaysia. We’re getting two variants—both 5G-enabled—the Find X2 5G and Find X2 Pro 5G. The flagship duo pack mighty beefy specs including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset and the number 1 ranked camera system on DxOMark Mobile.

Official Malaysian pricing

  • OPPO Find X2 Pro – 12GB RAM + 512GB storage – MYR4,599
  • OPPO Find X2 – 12GB RAM + 256GB storage – MYR3,999
OPPO Find X2 series Malaysia launch

As expected, the pricing is comparably cheaper than the European pricing of EUR1,199 (~MYR5,650) and EUR999 (~MYR4,708) for the Find X2 Pro and Find X2 respectively. This is also competitively priced against the new Samsung Galaxy S20 series. The Find X2 with 256GB storage pits itself against the Galaxy S20+ with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. On the other hand, the Find X2 Pro 512GB is more affordable than the Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G 128GB.

OPPO’s pricing strategy here is spot on and puts it in a good position in the flagship smartphone segment.

The top-of-the-line Find X2 Pro is offered in Black (Ceramic) or Orange (Vegan Leather), while the Find X2 comes in Black (Ceramic) or Ocean (Glass).

Pre-order details

As announced previously, the OPPO Find X2 series is available for pre-order/booking. To pre-order, you’ll need to place a non-refundable MYR300 deposit. Pre-order customers will receive a VOOC Powerbank (worth MYR299) alongside a 1-year extended warranty with  90-day screen protection (worth MYR299).

First-day sale

The Find X2 will hit retail channels on 14 March 2020 whereas the Find X2 Pro will go on sale from 21 March 2020. Both first-day sale events will happen at Pavilion KL.

Buyers during the first-day sale will also get a free OPPO Enco Free wireless earbuds (worth MYR499) in addition to pre-order goodies. That’s one way to bring in the crowd.

After the first-day sale event, the flagship smartphone series will be available via online retail platforms like Lazada, Shopee, Go Shop; telco partners Celcom, Digi and Maxis; and retail channels such as Senheng, SenQ, DirectD and AEON.
