Just a little over a month after revealing the cutting-edge Find X, OPPO is launching yet another device. This time round it’s the successor to the OPPO F7, which by the way, is barely four months old. OPPO Malaysia has released a teaser image of the upcoming OPPO F9, and it looks it will break new ground in terms of a smaller notch.
OPPO said it’s adopting a “waterdrop screen design” that will boast a screen-to-body ratio of 90.8 percent, one of the highest in the market today. No match for its own Find X, but mighty impressive still.
Judging from the teaser image, the notch on the display, housing the front camera, will be tiny ala the Essential Phone (and Wiko’s View2 Pro).

No other details are available of the device although it is said to feature a dual-camera on the rear, a MediaTek Helio P60 processor and VOOC charging. The famous VOOC charging technology will give the device two hours of juice with just five minutes of charge time.
OPPO India has also recently teased the OPPO F9 Pro, one of three variants that OPPO will supposedly launch in August.
Stay tuned for more.
