OPPO F5 is MYR199 cheaper but only for 3 days

OPPO F5

Today’s a good Friday indeed, with myriad special offers from Apple, Maxis as well as OPPO. And we’re not quite done yet. OPPO Malaysia has yet another tantalising deal—this time it’s for its “Selfie Expert” OPPO F5.

The selfie-centric smartphone is now MYR1,099 (SRP: MYR1,298) but grab quickly while you can because the deal is only for three days.

The special offer runs from today, 30 March until 1 April 2018.

The OPPO F5, launched with much fanfare last November, is another selfie-focused device from the China phone maker. It’s the first all-screen, near-bezel-less device from OPPO boasting Facial Unlock, AI Beauty Recognition for “natural selfies” and some commendable internals.

The device sticks to a single camera setup on both the front and back. The front camera is a 20MP whopper with f/2.0 aperture, while the rear gets a 16MP f/1.8 unit.

It packs a 6-inch 18:9 FHD+ display (2160×1080) with superthin bezels and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P23 chip. It gets 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage for the standard edition.

OPPO later released a 6GB RAM Special Edition in Black and Red. Taking a step further, the phone maker partnered with Swarovski to reward early buyers of the F5 Red Edition with a limited edition phone case that’s encrusted with premium Swarovski crystals.

The OPPO F5 has the distinction of probably the most brand ambassadors compared to other phone makes. For the F5 alone, we’ve seen the brand engage popular Chinese actress Dilireba (Dilreba Dilmurat), Taiwanese singers Yoga Lin and Eric Chou, and not forgetting the crop of Malaysian stars-Fattah Amin, Neelofa, Ayda Jebat and Min Chen.

Wait till you see who’s on the star-studded list in the Philippines.

Pricing and availability

If you love selfies, then the OPPO F5 is a steal at MYR1,099. Grab one from today until Sunday, exclusively on the OPPO website and OPPO Concept Stores.
