Maxis ONEder Parent campaign pays tribute to single parents

Maxis ONEder Parent campaign

An ideal family, in a traditional sense, includes a father and mother to support and nurture the family. However, there are some families out there that are a little different. Some families have single parents at the helm – whether mothers or fathers – who play dual roles – undoubtedly a challenge most of us can only imagine.

To celebrate Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Parent’s Day, Maxis has come up with a campaign that pays tribute to single parents – the ONEder Parent campaign. The campaign embraces a more inclusive idea of parenthood.

In line with the campaign, Maxis has launched a video about a single dad learning to understand his young daughter.

Maxis also announced that it is teaming up wih Parents without Partners (PWP), a non-profit organisation that supports and empowers low-income single parents towards achieving financial independence.

Since 2007, PWP has been raising funds for its programmes through Jumble Station, a store selling pre-loved donated goods ranging from books, toys and household items; garments and accessories, and more.

Through its partnership with Maxis, PWP will be able to reach more customers online through Maxis’ ecommerce platform.

Before this, Jumble Station relied primarily on selling through its physical store at Jaya One.

Seeing that 50 percent of Malaysian consumers buy online monthly, digitising Jumble Station makes perfect sense.

This also marks the first time some single parents are selling their handcrafted items on an e-store.

Maxis eCommerce is a one-stop solution that helps Malaysian retailers design, build and integrate their online stores. The solution also encompasses digital marketing as well as optimising performance through insights and analytics.

Maxis will train the PWP team to set up a digital product library as well as to pack and fulfil orders via tracked courier services.

Additionally, Maxis will sponsor a year of hosting, maintenance and support of PWP’s ecommerce site.

Maxis revealed that later this month its MSquad, a group of Maxis volunteers, will be taking part in the ONEder Parent campaign by donating pre-loved clothes, accessories and household items to be sold on the e-store.
