In conjunction with its 72nd anniversary, the Malaysian Road Transport Department (JPJ) is offering 70% discount on all summonses and compounds. If you’ve been putting off paying for your summonses, now is a good time to wipe the slate clean.
Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Ab Aziz Kaprawi announced the offer this morning, 2 April, after launching the JPJ Day celebrations at the Batu Pahat Mall, Johor. The offer will run through the month of April 2018.
Road users will need to head over to JPJ counters to obtain the discounts. Note that discounts do not apply to fines issues through the Automated Awareness Safety System (AWAS).
AWAS is an integration of the Automated Enforcement System (AES) camera system and Demerit Points System (Kejara) introduced by JPJ last April.
On a separate note, JPJ is also opening bids for “FB” vehicle registration plates.
