Here’s your chance to own a piece of FB

JPJ FB vehicle plate

Special vehicle registration plates are big business, and rake in the money for the Malaysian Road Transport Department (JPJ). Prime value numbers can fetch up from tens of thousands of ringgit to millions. The next series of plates are certainly going to be hotcakes.

At its 72nd anniversary celebrations in Johor, Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Ab Aziz Kaprawi announced that bidding for “FB” vehicle registration plates has started (2 April), and will last until 12PM, 16 April 2018.

The minister also announced a 70% discount on all summonses and compounds, valid until end of April 2018.

The minister said that interest for the series would be immense, given the similarity between the series and the acronym for Facebook (FB).

The bidding is open for public, with plates FB 1 until FB 9999 available for grabs.

Results of the bidding will be announced on 14 May 2018.
