Apple‘s iPhone 5 has just broken sales records in its first weekend. The good news – great for Apple’s bottom-line. The bad news, quality issues. First, the mind-boggling Apple Maps. Then the easily-scratchable exterior. And now, potentially a serious one – static lines.

This glitch, which shows static lines when a user types on the virtual keyboard, (especially when they enter their iTunes password) can be seen very clearly. This issue was highlighted by users on Macforums and Apple’s Discussion Forum. We have a video to prove that from YouTube by one of the users below.
Some users believe it is related to the new iOS 6 update where iTunes and the App Store has had a facelift. There is also a report by an Apple Support rep saying to one user that it could be due to other software issues.
Still, it is not unusual for glitches and problems on new devices when it reaches into consumer hands. Apple has had a share of glitches in the past on almost every device, found usually by early adopters.
Don’t let little glitches stop you from enjoying your iPhone 5, though. You can bet that Apple is already quashing those bugs as we speak.
