Huawei’s next selfie superstar is coming

The next selfie superstar – Huawei Nova 4e is coming to Malaysia later this week. The China smartphone maker earlier posted a teaser on its Facebook page indicating that the latest mid-range device is arriving on 14 March 2019.

The brand made no effort to hide the Nova 4e’s hero feature – the 32MP AI selfie camera.

I’ve received an invite for an exclusive media session that’s happening this Thursday, so stay posted on pricing and availability (if they’re not under any sort of embargo that is).

Huawei Nova 4eIn a nutshell, the Nova 4e is the more affordable sibling to the Nova 4. In terms of specs, the Nova 4e shares similar underpinnings as the Huawei P30 Lite sold in European markets. This is similar to how the Nova 3e was the “baby P20” or P20 Lite.

The device sports a 6.15-inch display with a dewdrop notch and is expected to be powered by the mid-range Kirin 710 processor, the same chipset is found on the Honor 8X and Nova 3i.

It will house a 3,240mAh battery and offer a rear fingerprint sensor. It’s also expected to feature a triple-camera setup.

There are no pricing details yet but the phone is likely to be around the MYR1,300-1,400 range judging from last year’s Nova 3e debuting at MYR1,399.
