Following what some say is the best Android smartphone in the world – the award-winning HTC One, the Taiwan maker has rolled out a compact version, aptly named the HTC One mini. The little wonder includes the same revolutionary tech that’s in its bigger sibling including HTC Blinkfeed, HTC Zoe, and HTC BoomSound.

The HTC One has been a runaway hit, receiving high praise and winning industry accolades. Available in 181 countries across 583 networks worldwide, the HTC One is everything a modern smartphone should be – sexy, impeccably-built, leading edge hardware and a fluid, fast user experience.

To address consumers who want the same quality and performance of the HTC One but prefer a smaller, more pocketable phone, is exactly where the HTC One mini comes into play.

Featuring the same stunning aluminium unibody design of the HTC One, the mini sports a 4.3-inch HD 720p (341PPI) display and a dual-core 1.4Ghz Snapdragon 400 processor. The mini measures 132 x 63.2 x 9.25mm and weighs in at a featherweight 122g. Available in Glacial Silver and Stealth Black.

The HTC One mini packs 3G/LTE radios, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, 16GB storage and a long-lasting 1,800mAh battery that gives a claimed 13.27 / 20.72 hour (WCDMA / GSM) talk time.

While not for everyone, the HTC Blinkfeed revolutionises how you consume your favourite content, social updates and photos on your home screen.

The innovative HTC BoomSound found in the HTC One is passed down to the HTC One mini, bringing superior audio quality via its dual frontal stereo speakers and integration with Beats Audio.

HTC pushed the envelope in terms of smartphone camera experience with the HTC One, and the famed UltraPixel Camera featuring HTC Zoe is also packed into the talented HTC One mini. With a 2.0 pixel size, BSI sensor, dedicated HTC ImageChip 2 and f/2.0 aperture and 28mm lens, the HTC One mini camera captures 300 times more light than traditional smartphone camera sensors. I’ve been absolutely impressed with the camera on the HTC One.

The front camera is a 1.6MP HD camera, great for selfies and video chat.

Pricing and availability
The HTC One mini retails at RM1,699 (SRP) and available at all HTC retailers.
