The Honda HR-V RS goes one level up in classiness with a new interior colour—dark brown leather. The new leather interior is fitted into the centre console, front panel, driver and passenger seats (front and rear), as well as door panel lining. The option is exclusive to the Malaysian market and is now available for booking at 101 Honda authorised dealers nationwide.
Honda Malaysia revealed that the RS variant contributes to 21 per cent of total facelifted HR-V sales. The facelifted HR-V, introduced in January 2019, has sold more than 19,000 units. Overall, there are more than 91,000 units of HR-V on Malaysian roads since the introduction of the series in 2015. The compact SUV remains popular among Malaysians and sustains its top position in the Non-National Compact SUV segment with an 85 per cent market share.
The dark brown leather option complements the existing black leather interior offered on the HR-V RS.
To recap, the HR-V RS is powered the 1.8L SOHC i-VTEC engine featuring Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT). The Variable Gear Ratio (VGR) steering system delivers a sportier and responsive driving experience.
Aside from the new classy dark brown leather interior, the compact SUV offers class-leading features including a seven-inch display audio, paddle shift, and Honda LaneWatch. Its multi-utility cargo space sets the benchmark in its segment for cabin and trunk space.
Standard safety features include six airbags, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Automatic Brake Hold (ABH), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Hill Start Assist (HSA), and rear seat ISOFIX.
