Samsung teams up with T1 as official display partner

Samsung Odyssey x T1

Samsung has announced an official partnership with global esports organisation T1 Entertainment & Sports (T1). With the partnership, all team and players at the T1 headquarters training facility in Seoul will use Samsung’s latest curved gaming monitors—the Odyssey G9 and G7.

The Odyssey portfolio delivers 1000R curvature, QLED picture quality, rapid 1ms response time and 240Hz refresh rate for the most immersive gaming experience.

T1’s League of Legends (LOL) team is one of the most celebrated professional esports teams in the world, headlined by its star player, Faker. It has the distinction of being the only team that has won three League of Legends World Championship titles.

T1 also has professional teams and players in competitive gaming segments, including Valorant, Fortnite, Dota 2, PUBG, Super Smash Bros., Hearthstone, Apex Legends, Overwatch, and FIFA Online 4.

The partnership will see Samsung and T1’s LOL team hosting a series of promotional activities including a meet-and-greet fan experience event. The event will allow fans to interact with T1 players and catch the Samsung Odyssey gaming monitors in action.

Following the event, Samsung will present video highlights and “The Locker Room” series featuring the team, to be aired on T1’s YouTube channel.

As part of the partnership, Samsung Odyssey G9 and G7 monitors will be displayed in the “Samsung Player Lounge” at T1’s new headquarters, soon to be opened in Seoul.

The Samsung Odyssey line-up comprises the 49-inch G9, 32-inch G7, and 27-inch G7.

The Odyssey G9 and G7 gaming monitors will be available from June 2020. More details at https://displaysolutions.samsung.com/monitor/odyssey.
