Comics are Cool! Event Series Returns

Fan of comics? The Comics are Cool! Event series is back bringing you an exciting evening of fun, exclusive previews and participative comic action! Comics are Cool is the front runner to the successful Malaysian Games & Comics Convention (MGCCon) 2012,  and it is coming to you this coming Saturday, September 2012, at Earth 638, Kelana Mall.

The event promises to be fun-filled with three new indie books to be launched: Drawlaahhh:Vol 1 (from the Banshee Creative collective), Jimi Germ and Zero Hero: Special SDCC preview (From Gilamon Studio).

An all-new tribute project called Peperangan Bintang (literally, “Star Wars”) is an intriguing Star Wars meets Wayang Kulit endeavour. Curious? Be there!

The Drawlaahh:Vol 1 is a sketch book of art contributed by a collective of Malaysian artists, which will be made available for sale at the venue. You get a chance to take pictures with the artists themselves, too! Drawlahhh:Vol 1 is printed on 100% Fully Recycled Tetra Pak paper, making it green and twice as awesome!

Sheldon Goh, Zenescope Artist (he draws for G.I. Joe) will be there to meet comic fans and attendees. During the event, you can buy a quick sketch from any of the artists present. You can also get artists to sign on prints. Other indie titles will be up for sale, and a not forgetting, a lucky draw! Look out for other promotions and surprises at the event.

Are you an artist or aspiring artist? Then join the Draw Night session where you can come and draw along with your favourite comic book artists. A chance not to be missed.
