The big day is just days away, but it looks like China’s biggest telcos are bursting at the seams trying to contain their enthusiasm for Apple‘s next generation smartphone. The world’s largest mobile carrier, China Mobile had started taking pre-orders for the iPhone 6 several days ago.
China Telecom and China Unicom, the second- and third-largest carriers in China have also jumped the gun to reveal that they will be selling the next big thing from Apple.
The telcos are referring to the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 as ‘iPhone Air’ and the 5.5-inch version as ‘iPhone Pro.’ There hasn’t really been any proper mentions of product names thus far, but they do sound plausible.
China Unicom has gone as far as to list the specs and pricing of the iPhone 6 variants, including different storage configurations.
Meanwhile, China Telecom has listed some specs of the iPhone 6 including a new 3MP front camera, improved Touch ID, quad-core A8 chip and bigger 2,100mAh battery.
