Intensifying the excitement of Malaysian Chelsea FC fans further, Samsung Malaysia organised a meet and greet session with the Blues at the Club Saujana Resort on Saturday (20 July) afternoon. The meet and greet session is just one of the exclusive activities lined-up in conjunction with the Chelsea FC Asia Tour 2013.
“Samsung and Chelsea epitomise relentless passion and a desire to be the best at their own game. For Samsung, we create new possibilities to enrich the lives of Malaysian with unique experiences,” said Elaine Soh, Head of Corporate and Branding, Samsung Malaysia Electronics Sdn. Bhd.
“For this meet and greet session, we wanted to reward Malaysians with a true blue heart and give them the chance to meet their Chelsea heroes up close. We understand how passionate Malaysians can be about football so we are delighted to bring this opportunity to Malaysian fans of the Blues,” said Soh.
For 12-year old Sean Koay Kah Yao, it was an opportunity to meet his heroes, especially his favourite player Ramires. He has been supporting The Blues since he was nine years old.
There was another meet and greet session in the evening with the Chelsea FC players at the Shah Alam Stadium. The privileged few had the opportunity to meet the likes of John Terry, Gary Cahill, Eden Hazard and more up close and personal. They also had a chance to see The Blues train for their big match against the Malaysia XI on Sunday, 21 July.
Ten of the attendees to the session were winners of the Shout Out and Score with Samsung campaign. To win fans were tasked to repeatedly post a Chelsea-related status on Facebook with the #Chelseats hashtag. Samsung is rewarding 1,000 winners of the contest with exclusive tickets to the friendly match on Sunday.
Chelsea FC plays Malaysia XI at 9.45pm, Sunday, 21 July 2013 at Shah Alam Stadium.
