Hot on the heals of Maxis, post Apple’s official announcement, one of Malaysia’s largest telcos, Celcom, has also started pre-registration for the Apple iPhone 5.
Again pre-registration is merely a ‘registration of interest’ which will keep you updated on the launch proper on December 14.
Pre-registration will later entitle you to participate in the launch and qualifies you to purchase up to two units of iPhone 5. There is no guarantee that you will receive your order on launch day though. That would depend on stock availability.
We are now awaiting the third and final telco, DiGi to announce its pre-registration offer.
Traditionally Celcom and DiGi enjoyed more muted, smaller launches as compared to Maxis.
