Celcom offers free unlimited access to support Malaysians during MCO

Celcom has announced special relief initiatives to help Malaysians stay connected during the two-week Government’s Movement Control Order amidst the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. This includes free unlimited access to selected services, extended payment duration, among others.

Valid from now until 31 March 2020, Celcom will offer free unlimited access to WhatsApp for all Celcom postpaid and Xpax prepaid customers. This covers chat, voice, and video calls between 8AM and 6PM daily.

To better support Malaysians working from home, Celcom postpaid and prepaid customers will also get free unlimited access to Microsoft Office 365 applications from 8AM to 6PM daily.

Next, Xpax customers will enjoy double the duration when they activate their unlimited internet pass. For example, a 3-hour unlimited pass costing MYR2 will now give you six hours of unlimited data usage. You can activate this via the Celcom Life app.

Furthermore, all Celcom postpaid customers will enjoy a seven-day extended payment period from their current due date.

Celcom is also offering free browsing access to the Ministry of Health (MOH) website. Additionally, calls to the Crisis Prepardness Response Centre (03-888810200) and Movement Control Order Hotline (03-88882010) are free.

Previously, Celcom announced that Xpax customers can enjoy 10 percent cash back when they purchase reloads (minimum of MYR10) via the Celcom Life app. This offer is valid until 30 June 2020.

Lastly, for Celcom Mega postpaid customers, unused data can be traded in for Boost cashback. This offer runs until 30 June 2020 and is valid for customers who subscribe to Lightning plans. You can get MYR5 cash back when you trade in 10GB of unused data.

In line with its social distancing efforts and to reduce risk of exposure, Celcom encourages all customers to use online service channels for any customer-related queries. Here are online channels serving around the clock:

  • Celcom Life App – check and pay bill, buy reload and monthly internet, roaming pass, and more.

  • Celcom Online Shop – purchase services including devices and accessories
  • Celcom Self-Serve Kiosk – change SIM cards, purchase prepaid reloads, and more
