Canon brings four premium compact cameras to Malaysia

Canon PowerShot G9X Mark II

Canon, the leader in DSLR and compact cameras is bringing its new crop of premium compact cameras to Malaysia. The Canon G9X Mark II, Canon PowerShot SX430 IS, Canon IXUS 190 and Canon IXUS 185 are lightweight, compact and packed with features that deliver high quality images.

Canon PowerShot G9X Mark II gets DIGIC 7 upgrade

The PowerShot G9X Mark II packs a 20.1MP 1-inch CMOS-type sensor.

The new generation DIGIC 7 image processor delivers high precision tracking performance, and also allows for touch detection of subjects. It can automatically detect and track the face of a designated person. Likewise, animals and even objects that are no highly discernible in low colour-saturation background.

Additionally, the processor enables continuous shooting of 8.1fps possible. Also, the 3x large aperture zoom lens (28-84mm, 25mm equivalent) assures high image clarity, even in low-light conditions.

The DIGIC 7 also maintains excellent resolution and image clarity at high ISO. Edge noise at 1600 is suppressed to ISO 800 levels.

Also, dual-sensing image stabilisation provides 3.5 stops of image stabilisation when shooting still images, and reduces camera shake effectively when shooting in low-light or at night.

The newly developed dual-sensing stabilisation uses a gyro sensor to detect physical vibration, and a new algorithm that uses information from the image sensor to compensate for image blur.

For the first time ever, Bluetooth LE technology is introduced to the PowerShot G Series line in the Canon PowerShot G9X Mark II.

This enables seamless and automatic Wi-Fi connection between camera and mobile devices. Additionally, it allows for the use of mobile phones as a remote control or playback of images.

The PowerShot G9X Mark II can be charged up via micro-USB cable.
