The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2, successor to the popular ZenFone Max Pro M1, is hitting Malaysian shores next Wednesday, 12 December 2018. Earlier this week, it was revealed that the latest device from ASUS will be a Lazada Malaysia exclusive. However, this just in. It looks like rival e-commerce platform Shopee has its hands in it, too. While Lazada gets the 4GB RAM + 64GB model, Shopee gets exclusive rights to the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant.

The ZenFone Max Pro M2 product page is live on the ASUS Official Store on Shopee minus the official retail price. On Lazada, the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model is listed at MYR9,999, which is obviously a dummy price tag.

The device will go on sale at 11.59PM, 11 December 2018.

ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2As a quick refresher, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 sports a large 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with a notch and is powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 660AIE chipset. It offers up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage, although it looks like Malaysia is getting the base 64GB of storage for now.

The rear features an uprated 12MP + 5MP dual-lens system while the front packs a 13MP selfie shooter.

Known for its big battery, the latest Max Pro doesn’t disappoint, and features a similar 5,000mAh cell as its predecessor.

The ZenFone Max Pro M2 sheds the metal clad body of the old and settles into a new glass/plastic body with a wavy motif.

The phone will officially go on sale in Malaysia on 12 December 2018.
