ASUS_Fonepad_7

ASUS has made available Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for ASUS Fonepad 7 owners. The OTA update brings improved features and enhancements to the Video Player, Photo Viewer, album browsing, just to name a few.


To update, simply go to Settings > About > System Update.

The ASUS Fonepad 7 is a 7-inch HD ‘phablet’ with full 3G connectivity, powered by the Intel Atom “CloverTrail+” Z2560 dual core processor running at 1.6Ghz. The 7-inch LED backlight WXGA (1280 x 800) IPS panel has 10 finger multi-touch support. Memory is 1GB with storage option of 8GB. 

The ASUS Fonepad 7 is priced at RM749 (SRP).

    Is this the update of lasts month’s 4.3 update of the FP7. More interesting/useful would be an update of the first Fonepad which after nearly a year after its release is still running on 4.1.2…

      Yes, James, it is for the FP7. No idea why the original Fonepad isn’t being pushed the 4.2/4.3 releases. Hardware limitations?

      That’s one issue with Android, manufacturers not pushing out updates fast enough. Although I understand how complex releasing an update is.
