ASUS wins 5 top iF Design Award 2020 categories

ASUS Zephyrus S GX502

Taiwanese PC maker ASUS has picked up a handful of top awards for outstanding product design from the esteemed iF Design Award 2020. The brand took the top five position in five categories of the iF World Design Index 2016-2020. The company said the awards are a testament of its “ongoing commitment to superior product design and user experience.”

The iF World Design Index recognises companies that have consistently excelled in designing award-winning products and have been leaders in the field or region.

ASUS’ signature notebook PCs and dedicated ROG gaming products impressed iF judges, garnering accolades in the Telecommunications, Computer, Gaming Hardware/VR and Professional Concept categories.

Taking the Telecommunications category’s top billing is the ZenFone 6. Meanwhile, in the Computer category, winners include the ProArt Station D940MX desktop; the ASUS X409/X509/X545, ZenBook Duo UX481, ZenBook Pro Duo UX581 and ProArt StudioBook One W590 notebooks; and Chromebook Tablet CT100.

Next, in the Gaming Hardware/VR category, the ultraslim gaming powerhouse ROG Zephyrus S (GX502) gaming notebook swept the top spot. Lastly, the ROG Face Off concept notebook won in the Professional Concept category.

These aside, in the iF World Design Index of global design leaders, ASUS ranked No. 1 in the Taiwan category—within the top three in the Computer category, and within the top ten in the Companies, Asia and InHouse Design Teams categories.

The iF International Forum Design GmBH, the world’s oldest independent design organisation based in Hannover, Germany, organises the annual iF Design Awards. The awards are recognised worldwide as a seal of quality for products that excel in specific criteria: design quality, degree of innovation, functionality, ergonomics, and more.

This year, the 78-member jury of independent experts from all over the world assessed products and picked winners from a competitive pool of 7,298 entries from across 56 countries.

Congratulations, ASUS!
