Realme C3 with MediaTek Helio G70 for budget gamers

realme C3

If you’re looking for a gaming smartphone that doesn’t break the bank, the new realme C3 might just tickle your fancy. realme’s first smartphone with the MediaTek Helio G70 processor, the realme C3 continues where the realme C1 and C2 left off–two feature-packed phones that disrupted the entry-level segment.

Headlining its repertoire of talents is the new MediaTek Helio G70—an eight-core 12nm chip that clocks up to 2GHz coupled with a high-performance ARM Mali-G52 GPU. Scoring over 193,000 on AnTuTu benchmarks, the phone also features dual Wi-Fi for faster, more reliable connectivity.

It features MediaTek HyperEngine game technology, an array of technologies engineered to boost mobile gaming experience through brilliant picture quality, fast, low-latency networking, lag-free display and better resource management.

In the memory department, the realme C3 gets 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage with support for microSD expansion (up to 256GB) utilising a triple card slot (2x nano SIM + 1x microSD).

The device comes with ultra-fast fingerprint unlocking, claimed to be at 0.27 seconds and it also supports facial recognition.

Keeping things juiced is a 5,000mAh battery that charges up via a prehistoric micro-USB port.

The realme C3 comes with a large 6.5-inch HD+ “mini drop” display, which features a 31 percent smaller than normal dewdrop notch, pushing the screen-to-body ratio to as high as 89.8 percent.

The phone comes with a 12MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture and 1.25 ultra pixel size; a 2MP portrait camera and a 2MP macro shooter. The triple-camera system can zoom up to 4X and features PDAF (phase detection autofocus).

Over on the front, the “mini drop” notch houses a 5MP selfie camera that supports AI beautification, HDR, portrait and pano-selfie modes.

The phone features the new realme UI which brings upon improved app launch time (reduced by 14 percent), reduced RAM usage (20 percent) and improved battery life (40 percent). Realme UI is based on Android 10.
