ADATA CW0050 wireless charger

Taiwan’s ADATA Technology has just introduced its CW0050 wireless charger, compatible with Qi-certified smartphones like the iPhone 8 and iPhone X, Samsung Galaxy Note8 and more.

Market analyst HIS Markit estimates the market for wireless charging to exceed 10 billion USD in 2019, with 1 billion smartphones using wireless charging by 2020.

The CW0050 is unbelievably thin at 6mm and weighs in at just 51g. Available in black or white, it is rated at 5V/1A (wireless output) and inputs at 5V/2A via a supplied 1m micro-USB charging cable.

The CW0050 is not only space-saving but is equipped with the latest technology for performance and safety. It uses the highest quality chipsets and ceramic capacitors from Japan. Built-in safety features protect against over-charging, over-discharging, over-heating, short circuits, over-voltage, and over-current.

The foreign object detection (FOD) feature stops transferring current when it senses a metallic object between the charger and a smartphone. This prevents wastage of power and reduces the possibility of overheating.

The WPC Qi-certified charger is compatible with iPhone 8/8 Plus, iPhone X, Samsung Galaxy Note8, S8, S8+, Note FE, S7 and S7 edge.
