Acer V6 series monitors win Best Choice Green ICT Award at Computex 2014

Acer‘s V6 series monitors have won top accolades at Computex 2014, grabbing the Best Choice Green ICT award for their eco-friendly material build and construction, as well as energy efficiency. Made from post-consumer recycled (PCR) material, the Full HD LED-backlit monitors were also recently awarded the SEAD Global Efficiency Medal.

The Acer V6 series boasts Full HD resolution, packing Acer eColor and ComfyView technologies for crystal clear visuals and glare reduction. These backlit LCD displays consume minimal energy and are built with mercury- and arsenic-free panels. Over 13% of the total plastic weight is made with PCR ABS to save natural resources.

Thanks to its energy efficiency, these monitors have EPEAT Gold(2) ranking and are ENERGY STAR and TCO Certified.

The Acer V6 monitors were also awarded with the 2014 Global Efficiency Medal (by display size and countries) for the world’s most energy-efficient monitors by the Super-efficient Equipment and Appliance Deployment (SEAD) initiaitve, Taiwan Green Mark and are certified by the China Conservation Program (CECP).

The Best Choice Award is one of the honours presented at Computex Taipei, the world’s second largest ICT procurement platform happening from 3 – 7 June 2014. The award serves as a stimulant for creativity and features Taiwan’s best ICT products with focus on functionality, innovation and market potential.

Award-winning products will be showcased at the Best Choice Award Pavilion (1st floor) at TWTC Nangkang Exhibition Hall. Acer’s booth at Computex Taipei will be at TWTC Nangkang Exhibition Hall 4F, M0810.
