The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (“CBTL”) at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur recently reopened its doors with a fresh new look, and added table service and extended gourmet menu. The whole new dining experience is exclusive to the Pavilion outlet and in fact, the only outlet with resident chefs. Along with other influencers, I got a taste of the new ‘coffee bean’ just before Christmas.
The new CBTL at Pavilion was reopened on 14 November 2013. Customers can order anything off the menu from the comfort of their chairs without having to waiting queue, unlike at other CBTL outlets.
The new twist to the menu adds a new dimension to the Californian born and brewed brand, and would certainly appeal to customers looking for a more complete meal.
The extended gourmet menu features a new line of scrumptious dishes prepared freshly by in-house chefs stationed at the outlet.
The exciting line-up of dishes include Cream of Mushroom soup, Omelette, Warm Portobello Mushroom, Spring Chicken, Beef Steak, Seafood Pasta, Chicken Basil Aglio Olio Pasta, Vegetable Lasagna, Garden Salad, Prawn Saald, Nachos and many more. CBTL is offering 20% off any main course priced about RM25 as an introductory offer.
I thought the wild mushroom soup and warm portobello mushroom starters were good. Following that the two pasta dishes – seafood pasta and chicken basil aglio olio would certainly be dishes I would order. The oven-baked spring chicken is a good sized main dish as a meal.
As part of its Christmas offerings, CBTL also offered a series of new and favourite beverages, cakes and gifts. Some of the Yuletide desserts include the new Passionfruit Cheese Log, Red Velvet Log, Choc Peppermint Cake, Strawberry Snow Ball, Raspberry Cheese Tart and Macadamia Fruit Cake.
On the beverage front, CBTL had a new buttery Toffee Nut Ice Blended drink & Latte, Red Velvet Hot Cocoa and Double Chocolate Peppermint Ice Blended drink & Latte. Santa would be proud.
