There’s yet another telco coming to Malaysia

Yoodo email invite

Another telco to serve us 30 million Malaysians? Apparently so. Can’t say that we don’t enjoy “consumer choice.”  The question is: will it be any different from the current crop of providers?

Recently, we’ve already seen the entry of ookyo, tapp and today, unifi mobile. It looks like the scene be getting even more crowded.

I’m not sure if you’ve seen a brand called Yoodo, but it’s been teasing several short videos on Twitter lately. With a hashtag #youdoitbetter, the message is quite clear: its about flexibility and free choice.

Let’s hope it’s not all just lip service.

The new telco brand will go official on 29 January, as mentioned in the official media invite. It also reads:

“Something exciting is happening in Malaysia’s telco industry. A brand new telco player is out to empower users simply because they believe #youdoitbetter!”

Are you ready for change?
