The new MacBook retains its ultrathin chassis (13.1mm thin) and 1kg weight, the same edge-to-edge keyboard and single USB-C port. The much-loved Force Touch trackpad is also standard feature.
The 12-inch Retina Display pushes 2304×1440 resolution, housed in edge-to-edge glass.
Under the hood, the latest 6th Generation Intel Core M processors (with clock speeds from 1.1GHz to 1.2GHz) deliver faster performance and better battery life. Integrated graphics performance is also up by 25%.
Apple has made 8GB RAM standard across the board.
For US$1,299, you get the 1.1GHz option with 8GB memory and 256GB of storage. Higher up is the US$1,599 configuration that gives you 8GB memory and 512GB of storage.
The lineup now offers four colour options (like its iOS device range) – Space Grey, Silver, Gold and now Rose Gold.
The new MacBook runs OS X El Capitan out-of-the-box.
So, a Rose Gold MacBook. Yay or nay?
