The Acer Liquid family of smartphones has grown by three with the introduction of the Z630, Z530 and Z330. The new range continues to drive value and a media-rich user experience. Acer also gave a preview of the flagship Liquid X2, the world’s first triple-SIM 4G LTE phone.
On the exterior, the new Liquid range doesn’t differ too much from its predecessor. It still retains the sleek curved chassis and compact design.
All three phones feature an updated Acer Liquid UI design – simple, elegant and friendlier overall. Acer Float Apps allows you to open more than one app at a time and multitask. Acer Float Caller which is a mini window that pops up and overlays your current app, lets you conveniently answer calls or reply with a message.
Acer also introduced Acer Quick Mode – a couple of customized layout options for different purposes. Standard Mode is for those familiar with smartphones. Easy Mode is for those who prefer a more simplified experience. And finally Basic Mode which is child-friendly. Within Basic Mode, there’s also Kids Center which can operate from a protected environment.
To optimize phone performance, you can count on Acer Aid Kit which manages battery life and makes backing up/restoring easy.
Two things that have been an essential part of the Liquid experience are Bluelightshield and DTS Studio Sound. Bluelightshield protects your eyes by reducing blue light emission from your display. Meanwhile, enjoy a more immersive audio experience on your phone with DTS Studio Sound technology.

Acer Liquid Z630
The new Acer Liquid Z630 uses the services of the 64-bit quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6735 processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB of storage. While only a HD screen, the 5.5-inch IPS is vivid and sharp, pushing out 267PPI.
You’ll enjoy plenty of hours with the Z630, thanks to its massive 4,000mAh battery. Talktime is claimed to be 22 hours (3G) with a standby time of 1,050 hours (3G). With an OTG cable, you can also use the Z630 to charge up another smartphone/device. Something we’ve seen on the new Lenovo Vibe P1, as well.
In the camera department, the Z630 gets an 8MP autofocus rear camera with flash, and 8MP wide angle front camera. The phone supports 4G LTE and is a dual-SIM device.
Acer Liquid Z530
The Liquid Z530 shares the same processor MediaTek power unit as the Z630. RAM and storage are identical as well. It has, however, a smaller 5-inch IPS display with Zero Air Gap technology. There’s microSD if you need more storage.
Camera-wise the Z530 sports a similar 8MP/8MP set-up as its bigger sibling.
In terms of battery, the Z530 is packed with a smaller 2,420 unit, good for a claimed 12-hour talk time and 630-hours standby time.
Acer Liquid Z330
At the bottom of the family tree, the Z330 packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB of storage. The 4.5-inch IPS display pushes 218PPI.
There’s microSD expansion, a decent 5MP autofocus main camera with LED flash and 5MP selfie unit.
The 2,000mAh removable battery powers the entry-level device up to 11 hours of talk time and 430 hours of standby time.
One more thing… Acer Liquid X2
At the tail end of the Malaysian launch event, Acer did a Steve Jobs – revealing the top-of-the-range mid-range Liquid X2 smartphone. The Liquid X2 sports a 5.5-inch, housed in an enclosure that’s part Sony Xperia, part Mi Note.
Its hardware specs should put smiles on many. It gets the excellent octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor mated to 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage. What’s interesting is that it supports triple-SIM 4G LTE, the world’s first smartphone to have this feature. Acer has pushed triple-SIM devices before, with its Liquid E700 (3G only).
Along with its sleek exterior, it also gets a 13MP f/1.8 rear camera and whopping 13MP selfie camera. HTC Desire EYE, eat your heart out.
That’s not all. The X2 will also be accompanied with a Quick Flip cover that offers notifications and quick status updates via a small window on the front.
One thing you’ll also love is the huge 4,000mAh battery.
Available in Black and Gold, Acer is set to bring this to market in January 2016.
