Fastest autofocus in a smartphone

At a groundbreaking speed of just 0.03 seconds (yes, faster than you can blink), the Xperia Z5 Dual’s new 23MP camera has the fastest autofocus in a smartphone. The new 1/2.3 Exmor RS for mobile sensor and excellent f/2.0 G Lens bring advancements in low-light and 5x clear image zoom.

More important that just megapixels, though, is Sony’s improved SteadyShot with Intelligent Active Mode for video. Having tested this first hand, the image stabilisation is mind-blowingly good.

Kid Chan of Kid Chan Studios and Ridduan Ismail of Tukang Tangkap Foto Gembira Anda (TTFGA) exhibited photos that were taken with the Xperia Z5 Dual. The enlarged prints showcased amazing detail and colour reproduction.

It’s all about performance

Sony Mobile didn’t hold back on other areas either. The Xperia Z5 Dual and Z5 Compact are powered by the 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. Both are 4G LTE equipped, with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC built-in.

What has impressed since the Z2 is the outstanding battery life. Sony’s incredible Stamina mode delivers up to two-day battery life. Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 technology enables for rapid-charging – 10 minutes of charging gets you 5.5 horus of usage.

4K on a smartphone? Why not

You may scream gimmick, but the breathtaking details and crisp visuals will likely blow you away. The Xperia Z5 Premium dual is the world’s first 4K smartphone with a 5.5-inch 4K TRILUMINOS Display for mobile and IPS panel.

The Z5 Premium Dual will upscale your content to 4K, whether you’re watching iflix, YouTube or videos you’ve shot.

The top-of-the-line Z5 is all about performance, and features the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor bundled with 3GB RAM. It gets 32GB of internal memory with support for microSD (up to 200GB). That’s plenty of storage for all that 4K content.

A high capacity 3,430mAh battery keeps it going for two days and also supports quick charge.

Hi-Res Audio or bust

Sony is synonymous with audio, a rich heritage thanks to the Walkman. Built-in with Hi-Res Audio, the Xperia’s DSEE HX upscales audio fidelity of your MP3s, AAC or Spotify tracks. If wireless is your thing, then Sony’s LDAC codec will ensure streaming your favourite music is seamless and lag-free.

The Xperia Z5 series works perfectly with Sony’s new High-Resolution Audio Headset MDR-NC750.

While we talk about hardware, it’s nothing without content. Xperia Z5 series users have access to Xperia Lounge Gold which delivers the best of Sony entertainment to your fingertips.
