We Wear Wood

We Wear Wood

The timelessness of wood. The ever-changing world of tech. What do you get when you fuse these two elements together? You get WeWearWood, a startup that creates natural, eye-catching protective cases for your favourite Apple products. Utilising bamboo, a rapidly renewable and sustainable and highly durable resource, We Wear Wood products are unique, personalised and built tough.

We Wear Wood

So why bamboo?

Bamboo is a sustainable renewable resource, and has been used for thousands of years. It is also the fastest growing plant in the world, with a growth rate of 4ft per 24 hours. It amazingly reaches 100 feet in 60 days without any fertilisers.

With bamboo, almost every part of the plant is used after harvesting, producing very little waste. This remarkable plant is also known for its outstanding strength. Its tensile strength is higher than many steel alloys, while it has higher compressive strength than many mixtures of concrete.

When wood meets tech

We Wear Wood currently offers iPhone cases with various custom laser-engraved designs for the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s. MacBook and iPad covers are made of red oak, which have precisely measured cutouts that showcases the Apple logo.

Just to note, We Wear Wood bamboo sunglasses that come with bamboo cases are available on their online store.

The startup is now in its expansion phase and will be hitting Kickstarter some time this week to help generate capital for its production and delivery process.
