November 8, 2013 — AMD, together with ASUS, officially unveiled its next generation graphics cards in Malaysia after its global release last month – the Radeon R9 290X, R9 290, R9 280X, R9 270X, R7 260X and R7 250, supporting UltraHD displays, enhanced game engine development and more immersive gaming experience.

The media launch event entitled “AMD is Gaming” at GSC Signature was hosted by Alex Tan, Country Manager of AMD Malaysia and Azy Chua, Country Product Manager of ASUS Malaysia.

The AMD Radeon R9 and R7 Series of graphics cards feature the award-winning Graphics Core Next (GCN) architecture, a driving force behind AMD’s Unified Gaming Strategy. The four pillars of the strategy — console, cloud, content and client come together with the introduction of Mantle.

Mantle helps developers bring games like DICE’s “Battlefield 4” to life on multiple platforms, simplifying and speeding up the game development process.

Mantle will be detailed further at the AMD Developer Summit, APU13 taking place from 11-13 November in San Jose, California.

AMD Radeon R9 and R7 Series graphics cards are made for gaming on UltraHD (3840×2160) displays, including support for non-tiled 2160p60 displays with a future AMD Catalyst driver release.
