Launched a couple of days ago, the Maxis Football Manager fantasy football competition will test your passion and knowledge of the Barclays Premier League. How well do you know English football? Put that footie encyclopedia to the test! Participants will receive points for real life performance of players in the current Barclays Premier League 2011/2012 season and will run through to the final matches played on 13 May 2012. Participants are allocated a budget to create their own team of players from the 20 league teams. Partipants can start at any point during the competition, and will begin to score points once their team is submitted for entry.

For the ‘Overall Season’, the highest scoring managers at the end of the competition will win:
- First Place – US$20,000
- Second Place – US$5,000
- Third Place – US$3,000
In addition to the season-long competition, Maxis Football Manager fans can also compete for various other prizes throughout the season such the monthly prize of US$1,000 for the highest scoring team; the FA Cup-inspired ‘Knock Out Cup’ prize of US$2,500 and the ‘League of League Champions’ top prize of US$6,000 for the highest-scoring Mini League at the end of the competition.
