After opening the gates to everyone, unifi Air is now apparently out of stock, reports SoyaCincau. This is of course referring to the Huawei router that’s bundled with the wireless broadband plan. In a tweet Saturday, unifi alerted users that its “unifi Air device is currently out of stock” due to “overwhelming take up.”
A fresh batch of Huawei routers are expected to arrive next week; as early as Monday in Peninsular Malaysia, and Tuesday for Sabah and Sarawak.
Unifi Air is a wireless broadband service which offers fibre-like speeds over unifi Mobile’s 2.3GHz TDD-LTE nertwork. Because it is wirelessly deployed, there is no need for complex setup, wall hacking or installation.

All it needs is the Huawei B618 4G LTE wireless router that comes bundled with the plan. The router can connect up to 64 devices concurrently.
The unifi Air plan is officially priced at MYR129 per month but TM is offering it to everyone for just MYR79 per month until further notice. The plan is based on a 24-month contract.
Alternatively, there’s also a SIM-only plan for those who already own a compatible 4G LTE router, also offered at MYR79 per month.
