UAG drops new rugged, lightweight case for new Apple iPad (2017)

UAG Case iPad 2017

US-based Urban Armor Gear (UAG) has just introduced its latest Metropolis Series case for the new Apple iPad (2017). Built to US Mil-Spec, the lightweight case is for those who crave adventure, or simply want peace of mind (or for the clumsy, too!).

UAG says the new case is lighter than previous generations, while not compromising on what UAG is renowned for – maximum protection.

The new UAG Metropolis Series case boasts 360-degree coverage with a folio smart cover that doubles as a multi-position stand.

Made from impact-resistant soft core, it has durable corner bumpers for ultimate drop and shock protection. The case also has a tactile non-slip grip, so no accidental slip-from-hand moments.

The design allows you full access to the iPad’s touchscreen and volume buttons. Importantly, it has oversized ports for compatibility with third party charging and headphone cables.

As with all UAG products, the latest case is independently tested to meet or exceed US Military drop-test standards (MIL-STD 810G-516.6).

Pricing and availability

The UAG Metropolis Series Case for New iPad (2017) is available in three colours: Black, Red and Blue. It retails for USD59.95/MYR260.60, and is available via UAG’s online store.

The case is also compatible with the original iPad Air.
