[Updated] U Mobile’s Unlimited Power Prepaid with App-Onz gives you unlimited data for Facebook, Instagram and Twitter

Now there’s even more reason to go Team Orange. U Mobile has tailor-made a new package for social media junkies – Unlimited Power Prepaid with App-Onz. The delightful combination gives you unlimited data for all your Facebook, Instagram and Twitter updates. Share, upload and view social media posts with zero worry.

The U Mobile Unlimited Power Prepaid pack will be available starting tomorrow, 17 February 2017. Bundled with the new starter pack is 300 minutes of free calls every month (on-net). It features the lowest voice call rates to all networks, at 12sen/30secs.

If you’re an existing U Mobile prepaid customer, you can switch to the new prepaid plan by dialling *118*6*2*3# from your phones, starting tomorrow.

A starter pack costs MYR8.50 with MYR5 of credit pre-loaded. Upon activation, you’ll get 200MB of free high-speed data, valid for 10 days.

To enjoy App-Onz (detailed below), all you need to do is top up a minimum of MYR10. You’ll also enjoy 10 minutes of free calls to all U Mobile numbers, and get 1GB of free basic data (64Kbps) every month, for life. Note that this defers from the original POWER Prepaid plan that gives you 1GB of high-speed data, for life.

So, what’s App-Onz?

Following the popular Video-Onz, Music-Onz and Game-Onz offerings, U Mobile is adding a new feature, designed for social media junkies like you and me.

App-Onz lets you enjoy unlimited data on social media apps like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. This includes Facebook Messenger chats too.

The feature is available for new Unlimited Power Prepaid subscribers and postpaid customers on Hero Postpaid (U28, P50, P70 and P98); and Broadband plans. For postpaid customers, App-Onz will be automatically activated between 17-25 February 2017.

U Mobile continues to push the envelope

With Video-Onz, Music-Onz and now App-Onz, the orange telco is making things difficult for consumers to finish their data quota. It’s a good problem to have though (for the customer), and a key differentiator to other telcos.
