If you’re a U Mobile customer, you may experience service interruptions on 18 July, 3 August, 8 August and/or 9 August. This is due to a scheduled system upgrade and maintenance exercise.
U Mobile did not go into specifics of what upgrades it would be undertaking and whether this is related to its termination of its RAN sharing agreement with Maxis. In an earlier announcement, U Mobile said that it was ending its domestic roaming agreement with Maxis to focus on expanding its own network.
The termination will be done in phases over 18 months and is expected to be completed by 27 December 2018.
In any case, you may experience service interruptions during these dates:
- 18 July 2017 (12.00AM – 6.00AM)
- 3 August 2017 (12.00AM – 6.00AM)
- 8 August 2017 (12.00AM – 6.00AM)
- 9 August 2017 (12.00AM – 6.00AM)
U Mobile apologies for any inconvenience caused and ensures the scheduled works will be completed with minimal interruptions.
Full restoration of service is expected by 10 August 2017.
