Transcend has announced the availability of its high-performance solid-state drive in Malaysia – the Transcend SSD370S. Featuring high-quality MLC NAND flash, the SSD drive is targeted at gaming enthusiasts and professionals.

The SSD370S is rated up to 560MB/s read and 460MB/s write delivering performance that graphic designers and multimedia professionals need. Gaming enthusiasts will also benefit to this high-performance SSD. It uses a SATA III 6GB/s interface.

The 2.5-inch form-factor drive has sizes ranging from 32GB all the way up to 1TB.

The SSD370S is built for durability and maximum reliability from the ground up. Featuring Error Correction Code (ECC) to help detect and correct potential transfer errors; Device Sleep (DevSleep) mode to reduce power consumption and shorten response time upon wake-up from Sleep/Hibernate; and the all important S.M.A.R.T function to monitor SSD health.

 

Additionally, there’s Intelligent Block Management and Wear-levelling algorithm to protect data integrity and also prolong the lifespan of the SSD.

SSD Scope software helps keep your SSD running in top condition. The free application lets you check the status of your drive anytime. It also lets you check the health of your drive through S.M.A.R.T, enable the TRIM command and update SSD firmware easily.

The SSD370S weighs only 63g and measures just 6.8mm thick. A 3.5mm bracket is included for desktop applications, and an easy cloning tool via SSD Scope makes migration easy.

Pricing and availability

The Transcend SSD370S retails from MYR139 and is available from Amble Action Sdn Bhd and other authorized resellers. All drives come with a three-year manufacturer warranty.
