You can now unifi your home on the same day of signing up

This is a piece of #khabarbaik (“good news”) for Malaysian consumers. Telekom Malaysia (“TM”) is speeding things up in the deployment of fibre broadband in home with its 24-hour installation services. What would have usually taken days and weeks, can now be done within the same day of registration.

For now, this fast track installation services comes at no extra cost and covers both unifi and pre-unifi (Streamyx) fibre broadband home plans. The official FAQ states that the 24-hour installation service costs MYR200, but this fee is waived until 31 March 2019.

To ensure you installation can be done on the same day, your order needs to be submitted before 10AM. For orders that are made between 10.01AM to 2.30PM, installation will be done on the following morning. Beyond 2.31PM, installation will be done in the afternoon of the next day.

Naturally, the actual installation date is subject to appointment slot availability. High demand in your area may mean your installation slot could be at a later date.

As a refresher, TM offers an entry level unifi Basic plan that gives you 30Mbps speeds with 60GB of quota at MYR79 per month and a 100Mbps plan with unlimited quota offered at MYR129 per month.

Unifi Basic also gives you free access to unifi PlayTV app with free-to-air channels (30-day free viewing of all channels).

Meanwhile, the 100Mbps plans bundles free access to unifi PlayTV app for two devices with option of unifi TV pack (Aneka Plus / Varnam Plus / Ruby Plus), and 30-day free viewing of all channels.
