Stuff, the world’s best-selling gadget magazine we know and love both offline and online, has launched a new Cover Girl Search for 2013. Hundreds of beautiful, talented girls vied for a place on its front cover when it launched the inaugural Cover Girl Search last year.
Model Wendy Lean eventually walked away with RM10,000 worth of prizes, a cover shoot and a 6-page fashion spread in Stuff Magazine.
Stuff has added juicy bits for the follow-up search this year with the “Touch” 3D dancing game by Perfect World coming in as title sponsor. Amber Chia Academy will also be working hand-in-hand with Stuff Malaysia as official modelling academy where they will be actively involved in the judging process, hairstyling and make-up for the Stuff Cover Girl Search 2013 Grand Finale. Owner and supermodel Amber Chia will be one of the judges for the finale.
Twenty four semi-finalists will be selected from the pool of entries, then filtered down to a final stage of twelve girls. The 12 finalists will then be involved in various forms of online and on-ground promo activities before proceeding to the grand finale. The girls will be trained in catwalk presentation, poise and communication skills.
The Grand Finale will take place in December 2013. The panel of judges include Sharil Abdul Rahman, Editor of Stuff Malaysia; Justin Yip, Head of Marketing, Catcha Publishing; Brian Alexis, Business Director, Catcha Publishing; Phoenix Teng, Editor of Electronic Lifestyle; and a representation from “Touch” by Perfect World.

“Touch” by Perfect World is a 3D dancing game, built on the Unity3D game engine. The interactive dancing game features the latest fashion trends, social interaction, virtual marriage, community cultures and more. Certain elements of the game will be incorporated into the Cover Girl Search.
The winner of Stuff Cover Girl Search 2013 stands to win prizes worth RM10,000, an exclusive cover shoot and a 6-page fashion spread. The winner will also be the ambassador of “Touch” for a period of 6 months.
Submission of entries will begin in October. Entries can be sent via Stuff Malaysia’s Facebook page , Stuff Malaysia’s email at [email protected], or selected colleges such as Taylor’s University College, Sunway University College, and more. Entrants must be female between 18–25 years old, with height of at least 165cm.
