Sony’s EXTRA BASS lifestyle store in Kuala Lumpur is first-of-its-kind in SEA

With the advent of mobile connectivity and online shopping, is the brick-and-mortar business losing out? Not so, thinks Sony Malaysia as it opens its first ever EXTRA BASS lifestyle concept store in South East Asia. The concept store is envisioned to be a hub for art, culture and commerce, and for obviously reasons, deeply ingrained in music.

Located on the first floor, Asian Avenue at Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall, the uniquely designed concept store creates a shopping experience like no other — through its creative displays, hosting Sony’s range of EXTRA BASS series headphones and wireless speakers.

Sony also intends to create a music information hub for college and university students to encourage the youth to take part in music and the arts.

The store will also play Spotify’s top most streamed tracks in Malaysia every week, as a community sharing board. Many more activities are planned throughout the year.

Cross-brand collaborations are a norm these days, and Sony has partnered renowned street apparel brand Pestle & Mortar Clothing to showcase and retail their hip-hop inspired wear in-store.

Alongside the store launch, Sony also introduced three new EXTRA BASS wireless speakers, made to bring the “boom boom” to the room. Whether you’re into EDM, grime or hip-hop, the new speakers will deliver exceptional deep bass and punch bass.

The new SRS-XB41, SRS-XB31, and SRS-XB21 offer portability, durability, super bass and Live Sound mode.

Live Sound mode will make you feel like you’re in the middle of a music festival, giving you a three-dimensional music experience.
